Text Box:  Championship Day Thanks!

I'd like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who volunteered during the Championship Day Festivities.
Damon Fell handled the T-shirts and trophies.
Damon and Lawrence Dill came by early and helped set up the tables and chairs.
Brian Hartney, Elizabeth Hartney, Kate Collier and Kelly Hartney all helped me cook all the food and keep it all stocked up and running smoothly.
Donna Dildine, our FABULOUS office worker, helped hand out trophies and covered the place for me so I could go play during my game.
After it was all over, Craig Hernan and Rick Lisenbee came by and helped put everything back in the truck.
And in closing up for this season, I want to say thanks to everyone for making this another fun season in NEOASA.  NEOASA players and fans are some of the best people in the world, and I'm proud to be associated with you all.

Sincerely,
Dennis
Text Box: The Northeastern Oklahoma Adult Soccer Association (NEOASA) held it’s annual Championship Day and Picnic on May 18th at Torchia Oliver Park.  There are seven different leagues, and four of them were decided on the final day, with three leagues having the 1st and 2nd place teams playing each other.

A free picnic was provided to everyone with hamburgers and hot dogs, and the winners and runnersup received trophies, and each team rep involved received a NEOASA Sports Bag.  In keeping with tradition, the winning team received a set of Champs 08 T-Shirts.

In Men’s Division 1, the Boston Avenue Athletic Club Reserves beat Legend on Sunday, sweeping the two games between the teams.  The BAAC Reserves finished 9-1 for 27 points with Legend finished 7-2-1 for 22 points.

In Men’s Division 2, OK Revolution went 8-0-2 on the season, for 26 points.  They had a bye the last week, but the team right behind them in the standings, Empire, could not play their last game and finished at 8-1-1 for 25 points.

In Women’s Division 1, Sadida beat Rehab on the final Sunday, winning with a record of 9-0-1 for 28 points.  Rehab finished second at 8-2, with Sadida the only team to beat them.  A special note to the TSC90 Girls team that played in this division and were the only team to tie Sadida.

In Women’s Division 2, Blue Turtle Tavern (BTT) went a perfect 10-0 on the season to easily win promotion to Division 1 next season.  Second place went to Lunachicks, who held out on goal differential to beat BNB, with BA Kicks only one point behind in the closest race of the season.

In Men’s Over 30 Division 1, Tulsa Express beat Infinity on the final day to win with 25 points.  Infinity placed second with 20 points, not quite able to overcome a slow start to their season.

In Men’s Over 30 Division 2, Blitz finished 10-0, only giving up two goals all season.  Arsenal were the runners-up at 7-3.

In the Master’s Division, both Boston Avenue and the Brookside Strays entered the final day tied with records of 7-1-1, and having split the season series against each other.  Boston Avenue won the final game, but the Brookside Strays couldn’t keep up the pace, losing their last game to finish second.

NEOASA is always looking for more players.  We have a summer small sided league, and our fall season will start in late August.  For more information, go to www.neoasa.org or call our office at 622-8948.
In Women's Division 1, Sadida and Rehab each have a game to makeup, plus they play each other again, so it's still up in the air, but Sadida has the upper hand right now.
In Women's Division 2, BTT has locked up the trophy, but BNB, Lunachicks and BA Kicks are still in it for second.
